The call is made from Telephone No. 1 in Williams’ shop at 15 Sudbury Street (then 109 Court Street), where Alexander Graham Bell began his experiments in transmitting sound, to Telephone No. 2, in Williams’ home at 1 Arlington Street in Somerville. It is the first private telephone call in the U.S.
